ଅଥ ହୈନଂ ସୁକେଶା ଭାରଦ୍ଵାଜଃ ପପ୍ରଚ୍ଛ –
ଭଗଵନ୍ ହିରଣ୍ୟନାଭଃ କୌସଲ୍ୟୋ ରାଜପୁତ୍ରୋ ମାମୁପେତ୍ୟୈତଂ ପ୍ରଶ୍ନମପୃଚ୍ଛତ –
ଷୋଡଶକଲଂ ଭାରଦ୍ଵାଜ ପୁରୁଷଂ-ଵେଁତ୍ଥ। ତମହଂ କୁମାରମବ୍ରୁଵଂ ନାହମିମଂ-ଵେଁଦ ୟଦ୍ୟହମିମମଵେଦିଷଂ କଥଂ ତେ ନାଵକ୍ଷ୍ୟମିତି ।
ସମୂଲୋ ଵା ଏଷ ପରିଶୁଷ୍ୟତି ୟୋଽନୃତମଭିଵଦତି। ତସ୍ମାନ୍ନାର୍ହମ୍ୟନୃତଂ-ଵଁକ୍ତୁମ୍। ସ ତୂଷ୍ଣୀଂ ରଥମାରୁହ୍ୟ ପ୍ରଵଵ୍ରାଜ। ତଂ ତ୍ଵା ପୃଚ୍ଛାମି କ୍ଵାସୌ ପୁରୁଷ ଇତି ॥1॥
ତସ୍ମୈ ସ ହୋଵାଚ ।
ଇହୈଵାଂତଃଶରୀରେ ସୋମ୍ୟ ସ ପୁରୁଷୋ ୟସ୍ମିନ୍ନେତାଃ ଷୋଡଶ କଲାଃ ପ୍ରଭଵଂତୀତି ॥2॥
ସ ଈକ୍ଷାଂଚକ୍ରେ। କସ୍ମିନ୍ନହମୁତ୍କ୍ରାଂତ ଉତ୍କ୍ରାଂତୋ ଭଵିଷ୍ୟାମି କସ୍ମିନ୍ ଵା ପ୍ରତିଷ୍ଠିତେ ପ୍ରତିଷ୍ଠାସ୍ୟାମୀତି ॥3॥
ସ ପ୍ରାଣମସୃଜତ। ପ୍ରାଣାଚ୍ଛ୍ରଦ୍ଧାଂ ଖଂ-ଵାଁୟୁର୍ଜ୍ୟୋତିରାପଃ ପୃଥିଵୀଂଦ୍ରିୟଂ ମନୋଽନ୍ନମନ୍ନାଦ୍ଵୀର୍ୟଂ ତପୋ ମଂତ୍ରାଃ କର୍ମଲୋକା ଲୋକେଷୁ ଚ ନାମ ଚ ॥4॥
ସ ୟଥେମା ନଦ୍ୟଃ ସ୍ୟଂଦମାନାଃ ସମୁଦ୍ରାୟଣାଃ ସମୁଦ୍ରଂ ପ୍ରାପ୍ୟାସ୍ତଂ ଗଚ୍ଛଂତି ଭିଦ୍ୟେତେ ତାସାଂ ନାମରୂପେ ସମୁଦ୍ର ଇତ୍ୟେଵଂ ପ୍ରୋଚ୍ୟତେ।
ଏଵମେଵାସ୍ୟ ପରିଦ୍ରଷ୍ଟୁରିମାଃ ଷୋଡଶ କଲାଃ ପୁରୁଷାୟଣାଃ ପୁରୁଷଂ ପ୍ରାପ୍ୟାସ୍ତଂ ଗଚ୍ଛଂତି ଭିଦ୍ୟେତେ ଚାସାଂ ନାମରୂପେ ପୁରୁଷ ଇତ୍ୟେଵଂ ପ୍ରୋଚ୍ୟତେ ସ ଏଷୋଽକଲୋଽମୃତୋ ଭଵତି ତଦେଷ ଶ୍ଲୋକଃ ॥5॥
ଅରା ଇଵ ରଥନାଭୌ କଲା ୟସ୍ମିନ୍ ପ୍ରତିଷ୍ଠିତାଃ।
ତଂ-ଵେଁଦ୍ୟଂ ପୁରୁଷଂ-ଵେଁଦ ୟଥା ମା ଵୋ ମୃତ୍ୟୁଃ ପରିଵ୍ୟଥା ଇତି ॥6॥
ତାନ୍ ହୋଵାଚୈତାଵଦେଵାହମେତତ୍ ପରଂ ବ୍ରହ୍ମ ଵେଦ। ନାତଃ ପରମସ୍ତୀତି ॥7॥
ତେ ତମର୍ଚୟଂତସ୍ତ୍ଵଂ ହି ନଃ ପିତା ୟୋଽସ୍ମାକମଵିଦ୍ୟାୟାଃ ପରଂ ପାରଂ ତାରୟସୀତି।
ନମଃ ପରମଋଷିଭ୍ୟୋ ନମଃ ପରମଋଷିଭ୍ୟଃ ॥8॥
